USRThis also isn't a vault for secrets — it's meant for the ordinary stuff you'd tell a new coworker on day one. Don't put passwords, ID numbers, or anything sensitive into your key.
What we collect
Nothing, automatically. The only information involved is what you type into your USRKey yourself — your identity, how you work, what you're focused on. There is no account, no sign-up, no email address collected, and no analytics or usage tracking on the app or the extension.
The usrkey.com website itself uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for basic, aggregate page-view counts (no cookies, no personal data, no cross-site tracking) — that's the only measurement anywhere in this product.
Where it lives
Your key is stored in your browser's own local storage — localStorage on usrkey.com, and chrome.storage.local if you install the extension. Both are storage areas private to your device. Neither USRKey, Garner, nor anyone else has a copy, a database, or a server that ever receives it. If you clear your browser data or uninstall the extension, it's gone — we can't recover it, because we never had it.
How the extension uses it
The extension mirrors the key you wrote at usrkey.com into its own local storage, so it's available on the AI sites it supports. When you click the USRKey button, it inserts the text you chose to share into that page's chat box — the same as if you'd typed or pasted it yourself. That's the entire function. The extension does not read page content beyond finding a chat input, and does not run on any site until you visit one it supports.
What we share
Nothing. We don't sell data, because we don't have any to sell. We don't share it with advertisers, analytics vendors, or data brokers. There's no personalized, re-targeted, or interest-based advertising anywhere in this product — there is no advertising at all.
The one exception is the one you control directly: when you click the extension's button, the text you chose to share is inserted into a chat with whichever AI provider's page you're on (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and so on). At that point it's a message you sent, subject to that provider's own privacy policy — the same as if you'd typed it yourself. USRKey has no part in that exchange beyond placing the text in the box.
Extension permissions
The extension requests the minimum Chrome permissions its function requires:

- Train on your context. Not opt-out. Never.
- See it server-side. There is no server. If that ever changes, this page changes first, publicly, with a reason.
- Sell or monetize the data itself. Charge for software or hosting, never for a user's context.
- Access it without your action. No employee, integration, or automated process reads your key — the only trigger is you clicking the button.
Children
USRKey isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this ever changes — say, a feature is added that involves a server — this page will be updated first, in public, with the date above moved and the reason stated plainly.
